We are delighted to announce the results of our annual PROST™ LA nominations for two Charities, one for our human friends and one for our animal friends. Our two 2023 Holiday Luncheon Charities are:

A Place Called Home (APCH)

A heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS to this extraordinary charity!  This is a befitting charity to honor on their 30th anniversary of helping so many South Central L.A. youths and their families in such meaningful ways. A Place Called Home (APCH) is a youth development organization offering a spectrum of services to underserved families in South Central Los Angeles, through afterschool and summer programs, case management and mental health support. APCH envisions a world where all children have the opportunity to find happiness and success in life. It inspires, encourages and supports young people in South LA to achieve social, emotional and economic success. This year, APCH is celebrating its 30th anniversary!

APCH is thrilled to invite PROST Los Angeles to help ensure a joyful holiday season for youth and families by supporting Home for the Holidays. Every year, APCH throws open their doors to distribute toys, books and holiday cheer to local families in need. Last year, more than 3,000 community members came by to receive presents, take a photo with Santa and enjoy some treats. APCH is collecting unwrapped toys suitable for children from infanthood through early teens, or monetary donations via checks or credit cards at the event. This year's Home for the Holidays event will be held on Saturday, December 16th. Please bring unwrapped toys or a monetary donation to our luncheon on Friday, December 15th.

spcaLA

Since 1877, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) has served Southern California. spcaLA is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals through Education, Law Enforcement, Intervention, and Advocacy. Donations run programs and services including animal cruelty investigations, violence prevention humane education initiative, disaster response, pet adoptions, and a variety of shelter services. spcaLA is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization (Tax ID 95-1738153).  spcaLA is independently chartered and is not affiliated with any other SPCA or humane society, nor it is a chapter of any group. spcaLA is asking for financial donations either via check or they will have a credit card processor available at the luncheon.  They are also happy to accept unopened canned or bagged dry food for dogs and cats.

As in the past, one person from each charity will also be invited as a guest of PROST™ LA for the Holiday Luncheon on December 15, 2023, where they will have a stand to collect donations for both charities during the reception prior to the sit-down luncheon.  Click the logos below to learn more about each organization.

Please plan to join us and celebrate these two great organizations in December!
